Ultraviolet backdrops

First of a long series of ultraviolet backdrops for "Pickle promotions"

This backdrops were displayed in several night clubs such as Brixton academy and The Colosseum in Vauxhall.

After a few tries. I started to combine UV paint with regular one achieving better effects on the backdrops.

All the backdrops were painted on massive canvases with an average size of 2m X 3m

"Kinetec records"

Private commission for "Kinetec records"

This set of paintings was made in 2003 when the company used to be based in Oxford circus.

The original idea was to paint these designs on the office's walls but due the company was planning to move they were finally painted on boards to provide mobility.

"Community portrait"

A mural workshop to design and create a community mural in Madrid, October 2009.

I worked with over 100 local residents in a three day visual arts workshop. The aim was to involve residents in the creative process for a 90 meter long community mural. Designs and narratives produced by residents were incorporated into the mural in order to create a sense of ownership. Residents also took part in painting the mural.

The image above shows a section of the wall dedicated to "portraits". Over 90 portraits were created over the three day workshop that I led.

"21 colors"

Private commission, Dec 2009

The client wanted to change the feel of the room and add some color.

21 colors were created by mixing different percentages of 2 original colors and applied to the columns transforming the appearance of the whole space.

"Angel"

Angel is a modern version of what a fallen angel would look like

"Stick man"

Sculpture made of branches, stained and varnished.
Made as part of my "materials and techniques" development in my Sculpture diploma. 2004

This sculpture was sold to a private at the Ap-Art gallery in Notting Hill gate

Customized bicycles

Customized bicycles, hand painted.
Each of them has 2 primers, 2 undercoats, base colours, art work and around 10 coats of lacquer for protection.
Both frames were hand-built and turned into single speed as requested.
